SOUND reflective GLASS 

Protection against noise pollution is one of the most important issues in our lives since it directly affects our mental health.The basic prerequisite to define the term appropriate comfort and sometimes living is low noise levels.

 

Our perception of noise is subject to the following principle: if the noise level in a room decreases by 1dB compared to an external noise source, is like the volume is reduced to half.

 

The acoustic protection should apply everywhere where noise can be minimized. In such applications we use multilevel glass of ECHO-LAM® series combined in double glazing.

 

Characteristics

In the case of double glazed glass the construction of which is based on the asymmetry of the glazing and the use of gases in the space between them. The glass can achieve a sound insulation factor of Rw = 30 - 53 dB, depending on the type. Prior to determining the appropriate composition, the noise source must be clarified as to identify other factors. Therefore, in all cases, customers should contact the company at the initial planning stage, so all individual requirements can be taken into account. When determining the noise source we use the so-called acoustic insulation coefficient Rw and corrective coefficients C and Ctr. The Rw indicates the number of dB that isolates the glass without describing the frequency band but giving an average value of between 100 and 3150 Hz.
